Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning Information
Hot Water Extraction (HWE)
This is the most popular method for cleaning carpets and upholstery in domestic properties. The HWE process entails using a wand or hand tool to direct high pressured water solution into the fibre or fabric while at the same time extracting the dirty water into a waste tank through a hose. The method is known to be the best method to use on heavily soiled areas.
This usually involves the use of a buffing machine by either bonnet buffing or the encap method. It’s more suited to commercial carpet tiles where moisture needs to be kept to a minimum to avoid disruption to the buildings workers.
